Jamie Pacton writes dark, feminist YA fantasy, contemporary YA stories with a funny + geeky bent, and funny MG fantasy. She was a Pitch Wars mentee in 2015 and she mentored YA in 2016 and 2017. She grew up minutes away from the National Storytelling Center in the mountains of East Tennessee; she’s the oldest of ten kids; and, she currently lives in rural Wisconsin with her husband, two kids, and a dog named Lego.
Jamie adores gardens, art museums, beaches, cake, whiskey, coffee, history fun facts, fashion reality tv, rainy days, cities at night, and traveling. (She even kind-of likes getting stuck in airports if she has a good book).
Her tastes in books ranges from twisty YA fantasy, to laugh-out-loud MG books, to make-your-weep adult historical novels, and much of everything in between. She is embarrassed to admit that she can’t make it through even moderately scary or suspenseful movies.
Jamie is represented by Kate Testerman at KT Literary.
