With the craziness of NaNoWriMo this month and other writing stuff I’ve got to do, I’m taking a small break. For the days leading up to Thanksgiving, I’m going to post small snippets or pictures of things that I’m thankful for. I’ll post some small editing advices of things I’ve learned over the years. I may even announce a very exciting event coming up. Who am I kidding? I WILL announce it by the end of this week!
What is it, you ask? Agented/Published authors or industry interns or editors are teaming up with aspiring writers to read entire manuscripts and help shine up their teammate’s pitches to present to agents in January. So get your manuscripts ready. More details coming Thursday, November 15 Wednesday, November 14.
My sixth thankful thought…
I’m thankful to my publisher for loving LIBRARY JUMPERS as much as I do. And for Georgia McBride and her crew for running such an AWESOME operation. I can’t wait for the exciting publishing journey ahead of me. I cannot tell a lie, I’m terrified to start edits with my fantabulous editor, Mandy Schoen. May she forgive the err of my ways.
Editing tip: Just use the Oxford (serial) comma already. That is all.
Won’t you join me on this journey of thanksgiving? Sign up on the linky below, post pictures or thoughts of thanks from now until Thanksgiving, hop around during the month, and get to know each other. I look forward to visiting each and every one! Start posting today or join in whenever you like. It’s a laid-back kind of blog hop.

Really, on the Oxford comma. I used i faithfully for years, up until I started reading about how to query. I read so much about not using it. It’s nice to know Oxford comma’s still reign!
I’m sorry about falling behind so often in the blog hop. I’ve had trips to the Dr. and traveling, and workshops, and NaNo, and PiBoIdMo, and another WIP. Just busy, busy, busy!
No need to be sorry. Whenever you post it’s fine. No stresses! <3
Yay for publishers! I’m so grateful for mine as well. I’ve heard good things about Month9. Good luck with your revisions – I just finished my first round. Fairly painless. 🙂
Thank you, Sarah. Month9Books really treat their writers well!
Yay, Oxford comma. Like Pluto, I refuse to let it go away.
And I’m excited for you about the journey you have ahead!!!
Thanks, Issy, I will not let Pluto go either!
Just joining the blog hop today. Love this idea. Sorry I didn’t find it sooner. Taking a much needed break from NaNo and finally catching up with checking blogs I follow. Looking forward to seeing everyone’s posts.
Yay! I had to interrupt mine to announce a new contest, but I will resume tomorrow. 😉
Branching out these days to the blogtown and Twitter world. Looking forward to Pitch Wars. I’m just putting the finishing touches on my book, Transitions. Hi Brenda and….. everyone.
