Pitch Wars 2021 Mentor Blog Hop!

Saturday, 11 September 2021  |  Posted by Brenda Drake

Welcome to the mentors’ wish list blog hop! When entering Pitch Wars 2021, you’ll have the option to submit an application to four mentors. The blog hop is a great way to find out more about our mentors and find your top four choices that best fit you and your project.

From today until the submission form for Pitch Wars 2021 goes live on September 26, use the linkies below to hop to all the mentors’ websites/blogs to read their bios, wish lists, and what categories and genres they want to mentor.

For those unfamiliar with Pitch Wars, it’s a mentoring program where published/agented authors, editors, or interns choose one writer each, read their entire manuscript, and offer suggestions on how to make the manuscript shine. The mentee then revises their manuscript for about three months under the guidance of their mentor. The mentor also critiques his/her writer’s pitch and query letter to get it ready for the agent showcase in February. You can find our schedule in the footer of this site.

Need to connect to the community?

Join the Pitch Wars forum to have discussions with some of our mentors and other writers or get your work critiqued by your peers (sometimes mentors) or search for critique partners. It’s our gift to you for being a part of this wonderful community, and we hope you find this space useful. To join the forum go here: http://pitchwars.proboards.com/

Mark your calendars!

Join us for our official  chats on Twitter and our live mentor video chats happening on Sarah Nicolas’ Youtube channel. Go to this blog post for dates and follow @PitchWars on Twitter for all the details.

And here are your 2021 mentors…

Please be respectful to our mentors. Only ask brief questions on their sites and on social media and do not ask for feedback or for them to go to links to read stuff. And remember, Pitch Wars has an Anti-bullying Policy.

Any person requiring special accommodations to participate in any part of Pitch Wars due to a disability may arrange for accommodations by contacting pitchwars@gmail.com.

Here is a simple Google spreadsheet listing the mentors’ genres for easier accessibility. Please understand that this spreadsheet may have errors and is best used as a jumping off point. Mentors go into more detail about their likes, dislikes, subgenres, and editing style on their wish list posts on their own sites linked below.

To view the spreadsheet listing all the wish lists by genre, visit this link.

Thank you, Mary E. Roach, for creating this wish list spreadsheet for us!
