Pitch Madness is fast approaching, so get your pitches ready. The submission windows open on March 15. I’m still debating times and how many windows we’ll have. This post is to help you get your pitches ready and to post the schedule.
(For those of you not familiar with Pitch Madness, it’s a contest to pitch agents for representation of your work.)
This contest is open to Adult, New Adult, Young Adult, and Middle Grade works of fiction only. You must have a completed manuscript to enter.
How to format your entry …

So come back for all the fun!
So exciting! Can’t wait to hear all the details! 🙂
Hmm, that should be good timing for me. Especially since now that I’ve joined Operation Awesome, I won’t be able to participate in their Mystery Agent pitch contests!
I can’t wait!
I might actually have an MS ready!!
Ah, this sounds awesome! I can’t wait to give it a go and see what else everyone’s up to!
Sounds awesome. I’m totally excited about this years madness. It will be my first attempt!
Eep! Excited. Good luck, everyone!
YAY!!!!!
After all the fun in Pitch Wars, I can’t wait! 😀
Is this a US only pitch frenzy, or can UK writers join in the fun?
Everyone from everywhere is welcomed!
This is going to be EPIC! Thanks again, Brenda, for hosting such a cool contest!
Yeehaw! Thanks Brenda.
I second Iains question-is this open to UK writers too?
Looks like fun!
I can’t wait! I have a shiny new manuscript and everything. 🙂
All info should be in the body of the email, yes? I know attachments tend to be frowned upon but I figure it doesn’t hurt to ask.
Yes, pasted in the body of the email. 😉
Looking forward to this!! Can’t wait to pitch my new shiny baby! Thanks so much for hosting this, Brenda!! 😀
How many entrants are you taking?
We’re taking a lot of entries this time. There will be 60 finalists.
I am SO, SO, SO excited for this!!
This looks so fantastic, Brenda! You are so awesome, I know how hard a slush round can be, but man, the feedback is priceless! Thank you!
Good luck to everyone (still not done with my manuscript quite yet)! Hopefully next time.
I’m hoping to FINALLY have my manuscript ready for this round, but it’s going to be a tight squeeze. But since the procrastination monster attacks me if there’s not a deadline to ward it off, aiming for this date will help me make significant progress regardless. 🙂
Can we enter more than one MS if they’re in totally different genres, or is it one entry per person?
Yay! Time to start polishing my pitch. Thank you so much for this amazing opportunity.
Yeah! So awesome! Thank you, Brenda, for once again setting all this up!
Woohoo! Phreak Show will have its final polish & spitshine by then. Let’s do this.
I am ridiculously excited! My MS is actually ready in time!
I am SO ready for this. Thanks!
A complete nOOb question: The email address…will be posted here or somewhere on the 15th?
Thanks!
It’s on the submission window announcement. It’s brendadrakecontests@gmail.com – I didn’t add it to this post since some people tend to send too early.
Thanks!
I will NOT be one of those early senders. See ya on the 15th. 🙂
