Sequoia Nagamatsu is the author of the Japanese folklore infused story collection, Where We Go When All We Were Is Gone (Black Lawrence Press), a Foreword Reviews Indies Book of the Year Award Winner and a Buzzfeed notable book, as well as two forthcoming literary speculative novels from William Morrow/Harper Collins (and Bloomsbury UK). His short fiction has appeared widely in literary journals such as Conjunctions, Zyzzyva, Tin House, and The Southern Review, and have been listed as notable in the Best American Non-Required Reading and The Best Horror of the Year. Originally from Hawaii and the San Francisco Bay Area, he currently resides in Minnesota where he is an assistant professor of creative writing at St. Olaf College.
