Sarah Kapit is a writer of middle grade fiction. Her debut novel, GET A GRIP, VIVY COHEN! will be published by Dial Books for Young Readers (Penguin Random House) in February 2020. She was a 2017 PitchWars mentee and has previously mentored for the Author Mentor Match program. Sarah is represented by Jennifer Udden of Barry Goldblatt Literary.

Besides writing and bookish pursuits, Sarah enjoys knitting, baseball, and lavishing affection on her goofy orange cat. In her previous life, she received a PhD in History from UCLA (and is still happy to geek out over all things history). She has a longstanding involvement in the disability rights movement and lives in Bellevue, Washington with her husband.
