KL Burd is a Young Adult Speculative Fiction writer who has always made a home in multiple cultures. Growing up on various continents as an Army brat in an Immigrant Caribbean home, KL now makes his home in Austin, Texas with his wife and two boys.
When he’s not engaging in all things writing, KL spends his time hanging with friends and family and can be found anywhere with an abundance of laughter.
Passionate about social issues and creating change through writing, KL writes so that underrepresented kids, especially young Black boys and girls, can see themselves in every type of story imaginable.
