Jen Marie Hawkins is a nurse-turned-author, though she feels approximately the same about writing a synopsis as she did about administering an enema. For the past three years, she has been a book coach for Author Accelerator. Her short works can be found in literary magazines, and her debut YA novel THE LANGUAGE OF CHERRIES is forthcoming in early 2020 from Owl Hollow Press. Her unpublished YA manuscripts have won The Joyce Henderson Award and have been finalists in the YARWA Rosemary Contest and the RWA Maggie Contest. Jen lives in the Houston area with her husband and sons and a couple of sassy rescue dogs. When she isn’t reading or writing stories sprinkled with magic, you can find her at her local archery range hitting bullseyes, or watching ukulele tutorials on Youtube, or cuddled up with her boys, sipping sweet tea and daydreaming about Clemson football season. She is represented by Kate Testerman and Hilary Harwell of KT Literary.
