Our mentors are editing, our mentees are revising, and we hope you’re making progress on your own manuscript! While we’re all working toward the Agent Showcase on November 3rd-9th, we hope you’ll take a moment during your writing breaks and get to know our 2016 Pitch Wars Teams.
And now, we have Team Spandex . . .

Meghan: Why did you choose Kelly?
Kelly’s personality just jumped off the page and smacked me in the face (in a good way)! My book is cross-genre, and I knew I’d need someone spunky, quirky, with a good sense of humor, and with a good sense of adventure!
Kelly: Why did you choose Meghan?
Meghan sucked me in from her first line. First page. First chapter. She sucked me into her wacky world and didn’t let go until the final period. In my wish list, I’d asked for a contemporary superhero romance à la Deadpool. Although Drag Net is its own beast, it combines comic books, mystery, quirky humor, and the world of superheroes in such a fresh way. I couldn’t pass it up!
Meghan: Summarize your book in three words.
Superheroes & Drag Queens.
Kelly: Summarize Meghan‘s book in three words.
Vigilantes. Geekdom. Kissing.
Meghan: Tell us about yourself. What makes you and your MS unique?
I’m 32 and live in Colorado with my family and what equates to a small zoo. This book had me literally laughing out loud when I was writing it—anyone with a geeky heart will love it—and the romance is just swoony enough to be satisfying. I wanted to wrap the reader up in this world where a normal person without superpowers could become a superhero—with or without the Spandex. 😉
Kelly: Tell us about yourself. Something we might not already know.
Well, you already know I like kissing books, gummy bears, and Chardonnay. I also enjoy writing kissing books, eating gummy bears, drinking Chardonnay, and I used to be a competitive downhill ski racer.

Some guys should come with a warning label . . .
Sawyer West is Mr. One-Night Stand. He doesn’t do relationships or promises or feelings. He’s never cared enough to get involved. Until Lily Roberts. She’s sweet and shy and sexy as sin, and resisting her is testing his self-control. She believes Sawyer can be a better man, and for the first time in his life, he wants to be. But change isn’t easy, and Sawyer would do anything to protect Lily from his past self. Even break his own heart . . .
Thank you for supporting our Pitch Wars Teams! And don’t forget to stop by the Agent Showcase starting November 3rd to see how our teams do in the final round.
